GSSD Expo 2016 Brief:
- More than 25 United Nations agencies and 124 other institutional partners participated;
- Close to 700 delegates from 91 countries attended;
- Tens of thousands followed;
- 30+ sessions organized;
- More than 20 thematic topics related to South-South and triangular cooperation for sustainable development discussed;
- Over 170 concrete Southern-grown development solutions and initiatives presented;
- 90 Southern-grown development solutions, technologies and initiatives exhibited;
- Over 150 Directors General and national government representatives from more than 35 developing and developed countries participated in the DG Forum;
- More than 100 representatives from the Arab States, Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States regions attended;
- Close to 40 bilateral partnership meetings took place;
- Several riders to memorandums of understanding and letters of intent signed, and
- Outcomes of the OIC session and the peace-building session adopted.
